Cuil is a search engine that organizes the web pages into content and thus, displays the entries with thumbnail pictures to produce many results. Among the other search engines, cuil contains larger entries about one-twenty billion web pages. Cuil’s privacy policy says that it will not store IP address or users’ search activity. The former employees of google, Anna Patterson and Russell Power has developed and managed cuil. Several criticisms arise in the usage of cuil due to slow response time, inappropriate search results, and improper pornographic images got displayed along the side of search results. The owners of websites reported that it was not “actually quite ‘amateurish”.
